First Thái Nguyên international tea festival:
Promote Vietnamese tea trademarks
On 7th April, in Hanoi, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Thai Nguyen’ s people committee hold press conference on the first International Tea Festival in Thai Nguyen 2011.
Attending at the conference were Mr Đỗ Quý Doãn – Vice Ministry of Information and Communication; Mr Đặng Viết Thuần, Member of the Standing Committee, Vice president of Thai Nguyen people’s committee, Vice chairman of steering committee, Chairman of organizing committee, Ms Ma Thị Nguyệt, Member of the Standing Committee, Vice president of provincial people’s committee; representatives of Office of the Party Central Committee, ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of culture, sport and tourism, Ministry of foreign affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and other branches, local and international press agencies.
Adopted the governmental conclusions on the organizing of Thai Nguyen International Tea Festival 2011, Thai Nguyen provincial people’s committee has actively implemented its vital duties: Consulting for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in establishing Festival Steering committee, organizing committee, subcommittee, building organizing plan and exchange experiences with other provinces and cities.
The Thai Nguyen International Tea Festival is expected to taken place on November 11-15 in Thai Nguyen city and Nui Coc lake tourism site.
There will be 6 main activities during the festival, including opening ceremony, international seminar themed “Vietnamese tea integrating globally”, photo exhibition featuring
A series of other activities will take place including international trade and tourism fair, musical performances and culinary activities.
It is expected that tea masters and importers from 10 countries and territories, 50 traditional villages and 25 tea companies, 400000 visitors will attend the Vietnam’s first ever International Tea Festival. The event is expected to promote the Vietnamese tea values and trademarks locally and globally, provide a playing field for local tea enterprises to share experience with international partners, and enhance business and production of Vietnamese tea. The festival is due to bring together tea producers nationwide to an effort to promote the country’s tea products and culture to the outside world.
