On March 18th, Thai nguyen Red Cross launched a donation campaign for Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief. Attending at the ceremony were Mr Phạm Xuân Đương, Central Committee Member, provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Standing Committee, and thousands of provincial agencies, branches, businesses, local people.

Leaders of Thai nguyen Red Cross made an appeal to all strata of the provincial people in the spirit of mutual affection and mutual love, international friendship to make donations to Japanese people overcoming the consequences of the quake and tsunami.

 

Right on March 18th, leaders of the province sent messages of condolence to Mr Tanizaki Yasuaki, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam. Through Vietnam Red Cross, provincial Red cross sent the donation money of VND 2 billion to Japanese embassy in Hanoi.

 

 The donation campaign is expected to last for one month and will finished on April 15th. Thainguyen Red Cross is receiving donation from people at the Red cross office (969, Bac Kan Street, Thai Nguyen city). Thai nguyen Red Cross through Vietnam Red Cross will transfer all the mobilized money to Japanese embassy in Hanoi to support Japanese people.
