Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phach, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Kim, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Vu Hong Bac, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; delegates from the Ministries, Central departments, provincial departments, neighboring provinces; leaders of Bac Thai and Thai Nguyen Provinces through periods; representatives of districts, cities, towns, enterprises inside and outside the province; tea artisans; thousands of tourists and people.
Evaluating the activities during the Second Tea Festival, Ms. Ma Thi Nguyet, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organizing Board, stated that: The festival from 6th to 11th of November with six main activities and 10 activities in response was taken place safely, economically, effectively and satisfied the requirements of the Organizing Board. It was highly appreciated by the public and made a good impression on domestic and international friends and tourists. The opening ceremony was held imposingly with a special art performance full of tea quality and cultural characters of Vietnamese people. Besides, there were other activities, such as the conference on tea products, tea investment and tourism promotion; exchange programs among provincial leaders and scientists, tea farmers and processer with the theme “Vietnamese Tea – The Past, the Present and the Future Developing Trends”; Press conference with central and local newspapers on the topic “For the Development of Vietnamese Tea Brand”, etc. There were also cultural, sport, art programs and the tea festival which were held at the Tea Cultural Space in La Bang Commune, Dai Tu District and Ban Quyen Cultural -Tourism Space in Diem Mac Commune, Dinh Hoa District; historical and ecological tours in tea planting regions in other places around the province.
Especially, the Tea Cultural Festival - one of the most outstanding activities, attracted the participation of 73 domestic tea groups and 6 international ones. Many scientists, enterprises, co-operatives, trading villages, typical tea farmers in and outside the province joined the activities in this festival. They also brought their own display spaces and introduced high-quality, distinguishing, memorable tea products. The organizing board also successfully held some contests, such as “Golden tea bud”, “Golden hands”, “Tea-making art performance” which appealed hundreds of participants.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phach awarded the Certificate of merit by the Provincial People’s Committee to 16 most outstanding enterprises, co-operatives and trade villages.
To promote the good results achieved in the Second Tea Festival, Thai Nguyen – Viet Nam 2013, Ms. Ma Thi Nguyet required the local departments, branches, enterprises, tea planters, tea producers to have overall, comprehensive solutions to promote the tea industry of Thai Nguyen Province to become a significant economic sector in the socio-economic development of the province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Kim awarded the Certificate of merit by the Provincial People’s Committee to typical tea-producing households.
At the closing ceremony, Viet Nam Record Organization awarded “Thai Nguyen Tea - The most well-known brand” to Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee. This is the 4th Vietnamese record made by Thai Nguyen. In the First Tea Festival, three records were made including “The biggest tea pot”, “The most well-known tea product”, “Tea-enjoying night with the most participants with above 300 tea-serving tables at the same time”.
Mr. Duong Ngoc Long and Vu Hong Bac awarded the Certificate of merit by the Provincial People’s Committee to sponsoring organizations for the festival.
33 sponsoring organizations and businesses and 30 enterprises, co-operatives, groups, trading villages, typical households in tea planting and tea business during the stage of 2011-2013 were glorified by the Organizing Board. The golden, silver and bronze cups were awarded to 67 units winning the competitions “Golden tea bud”, “Golden hands”, “ Tea-making and tea-offering art show”.
Ms. Ma Thi Nguyet, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organizing Board and Leaders of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, awarded the Golden cups to trade villages in the contest of “Tea-making and tea-offering art show.
After evaluating and summarizing the activities during the festival, the special art performance with three parts: Tea Aftertaste - Sweet and profound; The quintessence of Land and Heaven; Spring Tea - See you later, with the participation of hundreds of professional and non-professional artists.
