Sunny Opotech Vietnam is constructing a factory to manufacture, process, and assemble camera modules in Yen Binh Industrial Zone (Pho Yen Town) from November 2020 with a total initial investment of USD9.8 million. Their capital in Thai Nguyen has now increased to nearly USD 80 million. The factory is expected to go into operation at the end of 2021.
At the meeting, Mr. Liu Wei, General Director of the Company, thanked the attention and support of the provincial leaders, departments, and agencies from November 2020 to the present.

Mr. Liu Wei said that the Board of Directors decided to invest an additional USD260 million (equivalent to about VND 6,000 billion) to implement the second project in Thai Nguyen. The Company's development strategy is to invest USD350 million in the next three years to become the second-largest investor in the province (after Samsung Thai Nguyen).
Mr. Liu Wei hoped the province would continue to create favorable conditions to implement the second project and enjoy preferential policies for export processing enterprises.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung highly appreciated the decision to increase the Company's investment capital. At the same time, he commits to creating conditions for the Company during the Project's implementation. The Provincial People's Committee Chairman requested the Management Board of Industrial Zones and relevant departments and agencies to urgently support the unit to complete investment documents and procedures, implementing the projects as soon as possible.
