Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee welcomed the President of Japan’s Kyo Hayashiya
On the morning of May 13th, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee welcomed and worked with Mr. Makio Hayashiya, President and General Director of Japan’s Kyo Hayashiya.
After exchanging compliments and preliminarily introducing participants of both sides, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long expressed his pleasure in welcoming Mr. Makio and the mission in Thai Nguyen Province. Knowing that Mr. Makio showed his great interest in the tea tree and tea products, the Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee introduced general potentials and strengths of the province, in which he emphasized the province’s tea processing industry. Moreover, he additionally introduced Yen Binh Industrial Zone, investment planning projects, especially investment in agro-forestry industrial complex here.
Mr. Makio also showed his great thank to the Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee for his welcome and spending of time for the mission. Mr. Makio is the sixth generation of the family of Kyo Hayashiya. This Group has the development history of over 260 years, specialized in producing and trading in tea products. This is the first time that the Group and he in person have come to Thai Nguyen and approached to the tea tree – a local specialty. Mr. Makio has a great desire to be on a fact-finding tour to study about Thai Nguyen tea products so that he will plan for cooperation and seek more partners to introduce to the province. Regarding Thai Nguyen tea, he is interested in three factors: technical quality, processing technology; closed production process and serious commitment of the tea-grower. In his opinion, the fullness of these three factors will produce a huge value for the province’s tea industry in the future, thereby help Thai Nguyen tea industry develop in the global market.
Mr. Duong Ngoc Long thanked Mr. Makio and the mission, and sincerely invited him to attend the Second International Tea Festival, Thai Nguyen - Viet Nam which will be held in November of this year. And Mr. Makio joyfully accepted.
On the afternoon of the same day, Mr. Makio and the mission spent their time on visiting some typical production facilities in the province.
