Inauguration of TNG Phu Binh Garment Factory
On June 13rd, TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (TNG Investment and Trading JSC) held a ribbon cutting ceremony of phase I of TNG Phu Binh Garment Factory.

Attending the ceremony there were Mr. Pham Xuan Duong, a member of the Central Committee of Vietnamese Communist Party, Provincial party committee secretary, Chairman of Provincial People’ Committee; Mr Nguyen Van Vuong, Chairman of Provincial people’s Council; the leaders of the Provincial Standing Committee, People's council, people’s committee; and representatives of departments and services of Phu Binh district.
The factory was built on an area of nine ha at Kha Son industrial complex (Kha Son commune, Phu Binh district) with total investment of VND 275 billion, of which phase I accounts for VND 185 billion, and the construction schedule would last 18 months. However, thanks to a creative way of working of the staffs who dare to think, dare to do and take responsibility, the company has completed construction of Phase I two months earlier than the forth-setting construction schedule, and saved over VND 7 billion. The factory is invested 64 high quality garment-manufacturing lines, of which 32 production lines specialised in weaving items, and 32 production lines specialised in hosiery. The entire system is installed equipment and applied modern technologies of BROTHER Sewing Machine Group of Japan and GERBER Technology Group of the United States of America; the designed capacity is about 2 million woven Jackets and 1.5 million hosiery per year . When the factory is put into operation, it will ensure the jobs for over 4,000 employees, of which the phase I is 2,000 employees. Until now, the factory has trained and attracted 1,200 employees, of which over 80% of the workforce is the local people.
Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Xuan Duong highly appreciated and praised the efforts and creativity of the leaderships, staffs, officials and employees of TNG Investment and Trading JSC for having put the factory into operation earlier than the due time. He shared the difficulties of the company during the global economic crisis, and required the company to accelerate the construction schedule of phase II as well as to make plan for construction project urgently to build the factories for processing fabric, yarn and other new products to meet consumption demand in the area, and for being active in production materials.
