On the afternoon of September 25, The delegation led by Mr. Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Chairman of Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs, had a meeting with Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, the Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Thai Nguyen currently has 50 ethnic minorities with 384,379 people, accounting for 29.87 percent of the provincial population. The ethnic people live in 110 hamlets, towns in ethnic minority and mountainous regions, in which 142 particularly difficult villages.
At the meeting, the Provincial Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs representative reported the results in the first nine months of 2021. Over the past time, the provincial ethnic minority people have always received the regular attention, leadership, and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the coordination among departments, divisions, branches, unions, and localities. The ethnic minority policies are implemented for the right purposes and objects.

In the last three months of 2021, the province will continue to direct agencies, units, and localities to implement projects and sub-projects under "the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during 2021-2025" according to the guidance of the Central Government.
At the meeting, the delegates contributed ideas to effectively implement ethnic minority policies in the province in the coming time.
The delegates visit Ngan Hanh safe tea production facility, in Tan Cuong commune, Thai Nguyen city, owned by Mr. Le Quang Ngan, a Ngai ethnic minority.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hau A Lenh highly appreciated the implementation of ethnic minority policies in recent years and affirmed that the province is one of the few localities nationwide that issued a thematic resolution on ethnic minority mission for the period 2021-2025, towards 2030 right after the 20th Provincial Party Congress.
In the coming time, Mr. Hau A Lenh suggested that the province pay attention to and assign units to implement projects and sub-projects proactively to deploy quickly and effectively and strengthen human resources who are ethnic minority people serve the local development. He also committed to assisting the Provincial Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs to remove difficulties and obstacles.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung thanked the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Chairman and committed to implementing ethnic minority programs and projects thoughtfully and effectively.
