Strengthening partnerships with Linköping city, Sweden
On November 3rd, Mr. Nhu Van Tam, Member of Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of some provincial departments welcomed the delegation led by Ms. Kerstin Reimstad, representative from Executive Office of Linköping City, Sweden.
During this working trip to Thai Nguyen province, Linköping delegation wishes to continue to strengthen the relationship between Thai Nguyen province and Linköping city in the cooperative framework of project implementation of setting up plans, building infrastructure for improving wastewater and organic matter, which are sponsored by International Centre for Local Democracy, Sweden. The project will last in 3 years (from 2014 to 2017), focusing on the issue of wastewater treatment and infrastructure development.
After the meeting, the delegation will continue to coordinate with the concerned departments to survey the field, research, discuss and present views of selected locations, set up workshop to agree on the activities of the project next time. The Linköping delegation will work in Thai Nguyen until November 7th, 2014 as expected.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Nhu Van Tam introduced the Linköping delegation the provincial orientation in investment attraction, industrial development, infrastructure construction coupled with environmental treatment, striving for becoming an industrial province by 2020. In these working days, the province directed the concerned units to closely coordinate in order to make the meetings achieve good results.
