Thai Nguyen Agro-forestry College opens Chinese Language Center
Recently, an opening ceremony of the Chinese Language Center as well as the first Vietnamese course has been coordinately held by the Agro-forestry College of Thai Nguyen University and the Yuan Institute from Yunnan province, China.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of Chinese embassy in Vietnam, Vietnam Institute of Chinese Studies as well as leaders of Thai Nguyen University. Along with them were 41 students of Yuan Institute attending the first Vietnamese course at the Chinese Language Center. Mr. Peng Ping, Rector of Yuan Institute and Mr. Dang Kim Vui, Rector of Thai Nguyen Agro-forestry College presided over the ceremony.
Mr. Peng said that the establishment of the Chinese Language Center and Vietnamese course is to meet the needs of language training for students of both countries. He believed that this is a favourable beginning for next cooporation activities between the two schools in particular and the two provinces in general, contributing to strengthen the friendly relationship between the two countries.
Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Vui expressed his sincere thanks to the cooporation and assistance of Yuan Institute for building up this Chinese Language Center.
At the opening ceremony of the Vietnamese course, Dr. Tran Hue Vien, Director of Student Affairs Office of Thai Nguyen Agro-forestry College introduced to Chinese students some information necessary for their study. This one-year course will be taken on by teachers of Thai Nguyen University.
