Twenty Japanese enterprises exploring investment opportunities with Thai Nguyen province
On October 16th, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, worked with Mr. Atsusuke Kawada, Chief Representative of Japan External Trade Organization in Vietnam (JETRO), Deputy Chairman of Japan Business Association, and representatives of 20 enterprises from Japan.
Mr. Atsusuke Kawada introduced to Mr. Atsusuke Kawada and members the general information about the economic – social situation, potential, strengths of Thai Nguyen province as well as the mechanisms, priority policy, investment attraction, especially in foreign investment. He highly appreciated JETRO’s interest in connection with Japanese enterprises to explore investment opportunities in Thai Nguyen, and pledged to create the most favorable conditions for Japanese investors from the beginning until the end of the project.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Atsusuke Kawada thanked Mr. Duong Ngoc Long for spending time to work with the delegation. He said that the purpose of JETRO was to survey the provincial investment environment, thereby seek investment opportunities in Thai Nguyen through this trip. The Japanese enterprises participating in this survey delegation are multiform in investment sectors, such as finance, banking, aviation, construction consultants, electricity production, thermoelectricity, industrial infrastructure, environment treatment, and engine parts, etc. Members of this delegation expressed their admiration when knowing that Thai Nguyen attracted a big Korean investor - Samsung Group and built a strategy of calling auxiliary support.
Answer questions from JETRO on incentive mechanism of investment and the field of foreign investment attraction of province, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long confirmed Thai Nguyen was implementing incentives for FDI investors in accordance with the provisions of the Law on foreign investment. Enterprises with large capital investment, high-tech applications, creating jobs for many workers, will be received special incentives. The point of view of the province is to attract investment on the basis of field which is strength of investors. Currently, the province is particularly interested in attracting investment in projects of supporting industry, development of high-tech agriculture and industry, construction of social housing, housing for workers.
On the same day, Mr. Atsusuke Kawada and the delegation visited two Japanese enterprises in Thai Nguyen - Glonics Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Mani Hanoi company.
