U.S Ambassador to Vietnam visited and worked in Thai Nguyen

On January 31st, Deputy Secretary of the Party’s Provincial Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long met and exchanged with the Mission leaded by Mr. David, Shear, U.S Ambassador to Vietnam on the occasion of the visit and working session in Thai Nguyen. At the meeting session, there is also presence of leaders of Departments: Department of Planning and Investment, Foreign Affairs, Education and Training and Thai Nguyen University.

At this meeting session, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long welcomed U.S Ambassador, Mr. David Shear for his visit and made a general introduction about socio-economic development, especially potentials and strengths of mutual interest. Through the Ambassador and members of the Mission, on behalf of leaders of the Party’s provincial committee, People’s council, provincial People’s committee, Mr. Duong Ngoc Long thanked for the positive support of the U.S Government and non-governmental organizations in the performance of the projects and target programs to help Thai Nguyen province during the passing years, and proposed the Ambassador to continue his role as a bridge to help U.S enterprises learn about and invest in Thai Nguyen. He also expressed his expectation that U.S Ambassador will make active impact to increase export revenue and improve the cooperative relationship between Thai Nguyen and localities, enterprises and U.S Government as well in the next time. 

 

In the afternoon, the Mission of U.S Embassy visited and worked with Thai Nguyen University to exchange cooperative areas of mutual interest.
